There is a specific kind of satisfaction in seeing a piece return to the studio fully healed. For this lioness realism project, the goal was to capture the silent power and grace of the feline form. Now that it’s fully settled into the skin, you can truly see the depth of the black-and-grey work. The design process was centered around high-contrast textures—making the fur feel soft yet structured.
The standout feature, which the client was particularly excited about, is the pop of the vibrant blue eyes and the crisp white ink highlights. Many people worry that these details will disappear during the healing process, but this piece proves otherwise. By utilizing specific saturation techniques, we ensured the blue remained piercing and the white textures added a realistic "sheen" to the fur and whiskers. Seeing the client's reaction to how well the detail held up is what the ALXNDRITE experience is all about: providing art that looks just as good months later as it did on day one
