There is something special about working on a custom piece for a friend. For this session, we went deep into the roots of Chicano script, focusing on the flow and "swagger" of the lettering. In Chicano culture, lettering isn't just a font; it's an identity. We designed this freehand to ensure it moved naturally with the body, ensuring the flourishes were sharp and the black-and-grey shading had that classic, velvety finish.
To achieve this level of precision, I utilized a custom-tuned machine built right here in the studio. Whether I’m assembling a coil machine or fine-tuning the internal mechanisms of a wireless pen, the goal is always the same: consistent needle hit and perfect ink saturation. This piece is a testament to the technical side of the ALXNDRITE brand—where engineering meets fine-line artistry.
